Kindness Is Contagious
Today is World Kindness Day (November 13)
Kindness is contagious, and at Lee’s Marketplace we want to help it spread. For the next two months, our goal is simple: encourage kindness in every store, every community, and every interaction.
I’m Jonathan Badger, President and CEO of Lee’s Marketplace, and I want to remind all of us to carry kindness with us this holiday season. One of my favorite quotes is from Socrates: “Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle.” We rarely know what our friends, neighbors, or even strangers may be facing, but we can always choose to meet them with kindness.
Research shows that being kind makes us happier, lifts the spirits of those around us, and inspires more kindness in return. You may remember the pay-it-forward movement from years past. This season, I invite our shoppers, our teams, and our friends to take on this challenge again. Focus on kindness and see how much brighter your holidays become.
